Nepali:
A small ground growing violet with ovate-shaped leaves, pale lavender flowers, and purple markings on the lower labia of the flower. It is found in the Himalayan regions of Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Bhutan. It is an important traditional medicinal plant used for cough, cold, flu, fever, and even malaria. Some say it has anti-cancer properties too. It appears to be a valuable plant and worth protecting.
