Schisandraceae

 Magnolia Vine Family

Schisandra grandiflora
(Wall.) Hook.F. & Thompson, J.D. Hooker
Large-Flowered Magnolia Vine
Nepali: Theki Phool, Singatha Laharaa, or Pahenlo Singulto
I saw this vine in September when only the fruits were present. It has waxy white flowers that look similar to a magnolia flower, but they hang from the vine to become round berries that resemble grapes. I don't have photos of the flowers but they can be found on https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/s/schisandraceae/schisandra-grandiflora/schisandra-grandiflora. This was on a ridge covered by old oak growth. This plant grows in the Himalayas from 1800 to 3000m.
