This is a small shrub with large leaves clustered under long tubular white flowers with white leaf-like bracts below. It grows in the eastern Himalayas from elevations of 1700 to 3000m.

A shrub that appears next to the road at 1700m and on up to 1900m. It is recognized easily by the dark yellow central tubular flowers and the starched white linen-like leaves that surround them. It flowers in June and July but a few remain at lower elevations through August. The Large Spotted Flat is seen nectaring on the flower.

This plant is listed as a shrub but it was hanging down and appeared to be more vine than a shrub. The stem and leaves were covered in fine hairs. Along the stem at each leaf axis, there were clusters of pale pink flowers connected by a short tube. They are found in South China and across the Himalayas at elevations above 2000m.
