Small delicate flowers with a long center of sepals and anthers pressed together in the center are formed along a long raceme that extends from a bulb with long grass-like leaves.

From Afghanistan to SE China this small white to pale lavender-colored flower grows on shaded forest flowers and in rocky crevices. The stems are long slender grass-like with a spike-like cluster of flowers extending from the plant base. It grows at elevations ranging from 1500m to 3000m.
